Quality Assurance Engineer

Frontline Test Equipment, Inc. is experiencing exceptional growth and has an immediate opening for a Quality Assurance Engineer. This position is responsible for performing objective assessments of Wireless products to assist customers in making appropriate corrective decisions.

Frontline is located in beautiful Charlottesville, VA, is the world's leading provider of affordable, PC-based protocol analyzers for special-purpose data communication networks. Our products are used by engineers around the world to develop products, maintain networks and to trouble-shoot equipment in the field. We provide products for Bluetooth, 802.11, 802.15.4, Ethernet, USB, Serial, a wide range of Industrial Protocols and our list is always expanding. Our products are used by many Fortune 500 Companies.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assess performance and quality (real and perceived) of customer’s products against specified criteria and standards.
• Identify, analyze, and document all defects, programming errors (software bugs) and operational characteristics that are inconsistent with stated requirements and design specifications.
• Assist in implementing improvements in test methods and strategies.
• Escalate quality concerns to direct report.
• Design and maintain QA test plans, QA test cases, and QA test scripts.
• Perform documentation testing, functional testing, system integration testing, user acceptance testing and preproduction testing.
• Create and maintain company quality documentation, such as quality manuals, quality procedures, etc.
• Travel is considered an incidental function of this position, but may be required occasionally.
• Any other duties and/or responsibilities assigned by management.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

• High School Degree and/or GED.
• Experience with QA testing.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer
• Strong written and verbal communications skills required.
• Must be able to work independently within a quickly changing environment and have an excellent attention to detail.

We pioneered portable and versatile trouble-shooting software solutions for a number of communication technologies and are the industry leader for Bluetooth test tools. Our products are used by many Fortune 500 Companies.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assessing the test equipment needs of customers and prospects.
• Presenting company solutions to meet customer needs; developing technical proposals.
• Conduct training classes for customers and prospects.
• Service existing customer base.
• Grow customer base by attending trade shows, educational seminars and industry meetings.
• Generate and follow up on sales leads in a timely manner.
• Manage Sales funnel and forecast.
• Act as an evangelist for company solutions in a variety of forums.
• Up to 25% of your time will be spent traveling to customers and prospects in the Midwest and Western United States.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Knowledge of Bluetooth Protocols and Profiles.
• Sales skills and technical aptitude.
• Experience high tech.
• Outstanding organization and communication skills.
